Exercises after hydrodissection carpal tunnel treatment
– Exercises should be performed 2 days after the procedure. The exercises should be done for at least a year.
Please practice quite often (6-7 times a day) but the duration of 1 set of exercises should not exceed 3 minutes.
– Please, for the first 4 days, do not strain your hand. You can return to work and all hand activities 4 days after hydrodissection
– Please come to the treatment preferably with an accompanying person who will be able to take you home after the procedure
In each exercise (3 exercises shown in the picture below), please hold your hand for about 7 seconds, the exercise is performed carefully to the limit of comfort so that you feel the stretching in the wrist area.
Recommendations after hydrodecompression of the carpal tunnel
1) Millgmamma 2 times a day 1 tablet for 10 days after eating. – a complex of B vitamins
2) Wrist brace with a splint (neutral position) should be worn for 4 weeks at night. We don’t wear braces during the day. Please search on the internet – it will be the cheapest
3) exercises according to the attached scheme.
A hydrodissection of the median nerve (carpal tunnel procedure) was performed.
A fluid solution was used including: Betamethasone + 1% lidocaine + 0.9% NaCl.
The patient was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome based on both ENG and USG on the day of surgery.
